Nicer interior is subjectiveI traded in my BMW 328i for the WRX and I like the interior of my WRX just as much as the 328i. Did I mention my WRX is a "Limited"? That's right, heated leather seats, auto climate control, sunroof, heated windshield, etc. All those things that people refer to to make the interior "nice". I didn't buy my WRX for the nice interior, obviously. I bought it for the entry level performance you get, bang-for-your-buck. You don't get that in an Audi or a BMW. You pay a lot more for a "nicer" yet stock for stock, slower car.
Throw enough money at anything and it'll be fast, no doubt. Of course, there are Honda Civics with tiny 1.8 engines like the A4 that are modded to the moon and back and will boast all day long about "raping" STi's. I hope they feel better about themselves
How is one ever forced to drive a Prius? Rental car? I've had a few horrible rental cars and trust me I am very appreciate of my WRX, hence the defensive post above. That reminds me, who goes around saying "yea, well, my car's interior is nicer!"
"hey! yea? well! my car's wheels and tint are better than yours!" "my car's seats are more comfortable than yours!"
I don't understand the whole interior thing either. I have owned cars with "fancy" interiors and the only thing I really miss from my last car was the Bose stereo and the heated seats. My last car was faster than my WRX too but it was far from stock and I spent more money on it too. But in all honesty who really cares if their car looks better or is more comfortable that someone else's? Didn't you buy the car that you currently drive because you saw something you liked about it? I went from driving a 2.7t Audi a6 to a Subaru wrx because I saw several things I liked about them. The fact that my Audi died didn't influence what I bought but simply the fact that I needed to buy something to drive while I fix the Audi.
Yeah, I had been driving a flippin Prius rental car for the last three weeks until I could find a car I wanted to buy.

My 06 WRX Limited interior was almost on par with my Infiniti...and was still considered "entry" in price.
0-60 faster then your first sexual experience.

I've come to appreciate a well-put-together interior. Round trip, my commute is 60 miles each day. This has become quite the average commute for American professionals, btw. That's getting close to 2 hours a day in my car, so I have no regrets for putting in a touchscreen HU/iPod connection/Polks/leather seats/nice shifter/etc in my WRX...and I can understand folks that want a nice place to live while they shlog back and forth, such as VW/Audi/BMW offer.
As far as a proper speed reference, my 2nd vehicle is a '98 Ranger with a 4-banger. It does a wonderful job of making my humble Stage 2 WRX feel like a rocketship.![]()

I've grown to appreciate a great interior...
But throw natalie portman in my passenger seat, and I don't care if I'm driving a yugo with a stripped interior!
