Not saying you shouldn't be proud, but had he known how to launch and/or had slicks he would have left you in the dust. If the race had been longer than a block it would be even worse.

SRT-anything is not something to scoff at, especially 8. That car is capable of high 12s @110+ with intake/exhaust and some good tires.

But at the end of the day in a race situation it comes down to knowing how to drive your car, if he didnt then thats his loss.

    Oh and.....

    2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8

    •Vehicle Curb Weight: 4,140 lbs.

•0 to 60 mph: 4.8 sec (Car and Driver Test Results)

•1/4 Mile Time: 13.3 sec (Car and Driver Test Results)

The stock 09 WRX 265 runs a 13.4 quarter mile and mine isnt stock.

So im not sure if left me in the dust is quite right?

Now dont get me wrong the SRT8 is a great car but if when it comes down to it if the owner cant use it to its potential thats his problem and even if we had pulled over and 2 racing drivers had jumped in, the WRX would still have won over the quarter mile.

On the highway your correct it wouldnt but when we get to a corner and the SRT8 rolls on its side I may giggle.

Not beaking here, just saying that he didnt have an intake and exhaust but he may now go out and buy one.

    mid age means nothing

i'm 49 and drive a wrx. to old, i don't think so. i snowboarded 77 days this season, cycled 5000 miles and whitewater kayaked about 50 days. at 49 i am in way better shape then the majority of guys half my age and don't plan on slowing down.
people who meet me think i'm in my early 30's

see what you can do when your 49.

I'm 44 and drive a WRX, but I have the body of an 80 yr old. So, moral of the story, don't count an 80 yr old out!
