They are kinda pigs to be honest. they have a good trap speed so they are pretty quick from a roll, but not that impressive for 425hp

I used to be sensitive to the "middle-life crisis" label. It's the anti-comment to the "backwards-cap-wearing punk" label..same deal, someone has nothing intelligent to say, so they blurt out a stereotype. We're all guilty of it to some degree.

I already wear a bball cap sometimes, but not due to losing hair. I'm very fair-skinned...skin cancer ftl.

One nice thing about being skinny..I don't look like an old guy riding around..well, at least 'til you get close and see the gray hair starting to come in here and there..

In stock form SRT8 is not that impressive but for $350, it could be in the 12s car.

    Check this out BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - View Single Post - challenger srt8 vs. e92 335i

This man owns 3 different cars, SRT8 included. I have read multiple posts from him. So, I would trust him

Stick to the OP: nice kill!

Once again AWD rules the street. He would've killed you on slicks.

Not so sure! That thing is as heavy as an elephant! Although I intend to have my 09 Rex at Cobb stage 2 for the drags we have here in the summer!

lets hope AWD rules the strip to! haha

If he straight laughed at a WRX from a bone stock "whatever-mobile" then he clearly knows nothing about cars and is probably very much unlike someone who has loved cars their whole life and is now simply older. It's a combination of a car with a fast image and his lack of car knowledge that points squarely to "mid-life crisis.

Also, don't misinterpret, I'm not saying that a WRX is the best car ever, but if you were in a dead stock vehicle would you laugh at an STi, EVO, or some other similar car? Probably not because you know that in stock-appearing form it could run anything from 15's, to 10's.

Heck, that's one of my favorite parts of my car. No one expects the stock-exterior bugeye (obviously non-sti to the average tool) to trap 110mph.

He then proceeded to laugh and point at my car making stupid faces and turning to his friend and laughing! So obvioulsy I wasnt going to stand for that! After a few more blocks we stopped at a red light and he started revving his engine.....

As most of you know the WRX has an amazing launch from standing and as Im running the stage 1 Cobb for 93 octane map on my 09 it has a little more pep than usual.

So light goes green, I drop it from about 5k and hammer away, he is left there at the light and after a block Ive had him by 2 and a half car lenghs! He then comes up to the next light, gives me an embarressed look and turns off onto another road at the last minute!

    The moral of this story.......

    dont underestimate the WAGON!!! haha
I love heearing stories like this!! goo job on the kill
