Oh s*** I forgot about that. Good call. I was in South Florida, so altitude was like... 15-20 feet, and it was about 70 degrees with low humidity.

Please don't circumvent our swear filter outside of our OT forum.

I guess as long as I can have a win while on spray against an sti /wrx or an Evo... mission accomplished for not alot of $.

Believe me I know about traction .. Friday at the track was miserable with my street tires ... my freinds noticed I was practically just rolling off the line, so I wouldnt loose traction... then second gear, same crap... but realistically, no one rides around on drag radials day in day out.. for the track? sure... but what a PIA changing them and all ..

That helps a lot. A little colder, with warm asphalt and that's near a perfect drag strip.

I have the luxury of living near the only drag strip in america above 6000 feet... That's why I made mention of altitude. We see approximately a .7-1 second loss from sea level.

In no way, shape, or form, is that "dodging" the swear filter. That's why I rolled my eyes. Dodging it would be replacing it with like characters that still make the word clearly legible by someone who wouldn't otherwise know the word. I understand why the rules are there, and I have no problem with them, but I'd like to avoid confusion. Four stars can mean a few different words, and I'd like to make it clear (to the adults) which one I'm saying.

Okay, you're new here, so I tried to be polite. That didn't seem to take, so here you go:

Follow the rules as I have laid them out to you, or go away. The meaning of the word was clear, period. Your personal interpretation of the rule is irrelevant.

Got it?

I once beat a GT with intake/exhaust with a bone stock WRX.

I agree that no2 is like cheating. It's kinda like this: "well shoot, he's faster, and my motor isn't gonna beat his car...well that's ok, i'll just push this button and blam."

I don't see how that's cheating. I've never been a nitrous user, but it's a legitimate mod, so I don't see how there's anything wrong with it. That's like saying we're all cheaters because we have turbos on our cars installed from the factory.

"Well shoot, he's faster, and my little 2.5L 4 cylinder doesn't have enough power, so I'll just use turbo to push more air into the cylinders."

You guys can't seem to get the hang of avoiding the swear words/filter dodges, so I'm locking this one down.

Okay, Sinister asked me if I would reopen, so as a favor to a regular, I will do so.

Cicatrize and I had a PM discussion, and I think that we're on the same page. So it's all up to you, alexlakeman. I'm asking nicely...please follow our rules.

Well, I am not in the "bolt on" club, lol... I did that with my former 93 Mustang LX years ago... not worth the $$, unless you have a power adder (ie n20 or s/c)...

N20 is no different than a turbo, intercooler, etc... major hp gains, as a "bolt on", as we all like to say , lol...

I feel comfortable that the n20 will help me reach that goal of being in the front and not the back at the end of the race , wheather at the track (1/8 mile) or on the street. I am just not too convinced myself, ... too easy...

Slap on n20, +125 hp, only takes the GT up to almost 400 hp, and you're set to go side by side with wrx, sti, evo, Vette... hmm, not quite, too easy...
