Cobalt VS 2008 WRX

Hello, yes this is my first post. My buddy has a 2008 WRX stock and wants to run my Stage 2 cobalt with airbox mod and GMPP Catback. I dont know much about the WRX so i thought i would come here and ask you guys how do you think it will turn out. We will be going from a dig and a 40mph roll.

OT but, speaking of Cobalts, I seen a nice one today by Rallye Lexus in Long Island, NY car had a nice stainless steel exhaust, blacked out backlights, I believe stock rims oh and the color was a nice yellow - VERY clean.

How can you tell when you don't even know what type if induction he's using/what year etc. Op be more specific

says what what mods he has, only thing he didn't tell us was the year of his car...not sure if that makes a difference.

yeah it makes a huge ass difference....If he has a cobalt ss tc he will embarrass the wrx...if he has a cobalt ss sc then it will probably be a close race

Also depends on the year. My buddy has an 05 cobalt that couldn't touch my 08 wrx

Airbox mod
GMPP Catback

(on a dynojet i laid down 248.6WHP)


He has a

2008 WRX
Catback exhaust (nvidia? possibly)



It snowed last night so we never got it to happen. possibly tonight

But your putting down 50whp+ more than the WRX, so you should kill him...

True story, there are no stage kits for the Cobalt SS/TC yet. That means it has to be a SC.

That depends on who you ask. Don't count them out, I had one and hated it but they've made great strides over the years. Right now I'm betting neither one would make too many passes before they needed a trip to the dealership.
