i always heard they werent very responsive to mods could be wrong but thats what i heard. like many mods lower hp. that have any truth to it?

s2k yield amazing power when turbo'd or super charged and respond very well to mods. Although adding a turbo/supercharger isnt gonna be cheap.

And $5,000 into a $5,000 Miata and you can humiliate a stock STI. You're the one comparing apples and oranges, I simply called you out on a mistake on your part.

I'm not too sure about the validity of that, maybe $5000 dollars into a mx-5 will humiliate a stock sti but a miata is gonna need a FMIC/turbo/TBE/tune/etc before its gonna be in the range of an STi. The turbo setup a lone could run you $5000.

Not true, I've seen people go stage two on an sti for under a grand on the stock exhaust. I personally waited to buy my Cobb CBE, but doesnt mean it cant be done.

yeah... it does. It is possible with stock catback to be stage two though.

Stock exhaust is a tbe, all the car actually needs is a down pipe. You can run stage 2 maps on the stock exhaust but obviously your gonna see better #'s on an aftermarket.
