05 mustang gt vs 06 wrx stage 1

i just recently started running cobb ap v2 in my wrx.. i'm running the stage 1 map 93 oct w/ launch control =) plus short ram/short shifter..

was testing my full atmospheric BOV (everything for $70) and at first it didn't run right, but i discovered you can adjust it lol.. so now it lets out at 4-4500k rpm.. so of course i hadda take a test run and i live literally 30 secs from 2 highways

as i was getting on i see a mustang gt.. the second i see him i try and get up next to him and by the time i was at 65 i catch up.. its pretty open and i redline in 4th at about 120 and i was about a car length ahead of him. this is with 1.3 less psi (14.2 as of now) then w/o BOV. (it's coming off soon, its just to play around with) anyways, i felt pretty accomplished.. then when i slowed down bc of traffic he tried weaving through once he got next to me.. this is where i just love me car, just pulled in 3rd for the beginning of it and chilled in 4th.. he ended up picking the wrong lane.. so this means me:2 mustang gt:0

oh and whats funny is i drove the same kinda car just in auto the day before.. this girl that slept over had one and wanted me to drive it, so i ended up doing about 110 in that.. they're pretty sweet but its too big and sucks at lower speeds.

edit: i forgot to mention i dynoed it later on today, did it in 2nd, 2k rpm - 6k rpm.. est. 240 whp

Grats on the kills - I guess.

Sounds to me like a lot of fairly dangerous driving in traffic. Not the best idea in the world. Be careful out there.

APS intake actually, i got it for free basically. my friend sold me it w/ a sti scoop for $50 and i sold that for $60.. and when we were really going at it there weren't any cars besides the occasional one. i know accidents are no joke, i was in this wrx when we wrecked at 130, neither of us were injured.

My guess is that he enjoyed the crashing experience so much that he continues to do the same things that caused it in the hope that he can re-create the thrill.

    Only logical explanation, really.

i only hit my head on the side window, i never hit the airbag. i had a bruise behind my ear., i dont put friends at risk either, when i race, its by myself so if i **** up the only person i kill is myself. two kids died in my town, three were in the car, the survivor was the driver. they flipped over three times and one kid was decapitated, please don't tell me about accidents.

You put more at risk then just you.
0-60 faster then your first sexual experience.

I'm glad that you made it out OK from the first crash and that everything turned out fine in this foray as well. You are right about the majority of us getting the cars we have because they are fast and exciting. Do not, however, make the mistake of assuming that the majority of us "race" our cars, and, even if we do it's not on the public roads much. I'm only telling you not to expect a lot of high-fives from people here when your stories involve weaving through traffic. That's all. Take it with a grain of salt.
