Highly Modded '02 WRX VS. Stock '08 350z Nismo edition

So one of my co-workers recently purchased a new 08 350z nismo edition, and wants to run against me (legally of course on a sanctioned import night at the local strip) when we get back from our deployment, right now i'm sitting at just over 390awhp, (click my cardomain for mods) on my bugeye. Curious what everyone thinks on this subject, personally I've never riden in a Z so have at it.

that being said, he only has 2 wheels putting the power down, you have 4

a good launch and you will completley spank him. i have yet to ride/see the nismo 08 but i've driven previous years dont know the difference in the nismo but can't be to much. at stage 2 with my bugeye ive walked 350z's off the line, but i never ran one from a roll.

If the WRX is stage 2 or above it should win if not then then the Z could. Still anything can happen.

I don't believe there's anything on the nismo that makes it any faster in a straight line than the regular Z.

08 should be mid 13s on its best day in stock form. you should be in the 11s or very close to it.

The Z automatically loses. I've never seen a fast one. I stayed right on the tail of a 400 whp TT 350Z when I was merely stage 2.

My old car club had 2 350Z. That TT one above an a S/C'ed one that couldn't get past 12.6 on drag radials in the 1/4.

Nismo package is 306 hp, same as regular 350z.Nismo is a wheel,brake,suspension,and body package.You should take him dig or roll.

In a straight line, you win big unless you break or the Z is no longer NA. That's from a dig or a roll. While the Z is IMO a very nice car, your bugeye should be much faster.

you will own the z. Some magazines actually rate the nismo version slower than the regular z because of all the extra crap on it. shouldnt even be close

I was actually suprised to find out that those little coupes actually have a higher curb weight than my WRX.
02 WRX: ~2950-3100lbs
08 nismo: ~3353lbs

I just recently test drove an '09 350Z and it felt like a slow pig. Having recently raced a 350 and an '04 WRX in my mustang I think I can honestly say that a stock WRX could damn near keep up with the Z and one With any substantial mods should have no trouble taking the Z.
