    05 wrx vs.?

    hi everyone!

    I was just curious about, what a 05 WRX would need to compete against a SRT4, COBALT SS/SC - SS/TC and a MS3.

Im talking about any type of race.

PS= How will a 09 wrx compete against them?

    thanks

In a pinewood derby style race with gravity being the sole power provider, I'd rank them in the following order based on coefficient of drag:

    MS3 .32
    Cobalt SS SC .324
Cobalt SS TC (should be the same as the SC)
    2005 WRX .33
    2009 WRX .34
    SRT4 .35

However, you may also want to account for frontal area and rolling resistance of the tires as those would play a factor as well. Perhaps we can have a thorough and in-depth discussion about those later in this thread.

I hope this information proves to be helpful in your search for finding out the results in ANY TYPE OF RACE.

i would think the srt4 with its horrible weight distribution might take a pine wood derby race. since all of its weight is up front. and it also comes with the skinniest tires of the bunch from the factory for less rolling resistance.
