i got scared and send it in for a pnp and ceramic coating before i install it
how about the 09 wrx transmissions? are they better in any way?

2007 WRB STi
Keep in mind the STi is a six speed and the WRX is a five speed. The extra gear change will chew up precious 0-60 time.
More than meets the eye.
supposedly, the 09 wrx has the stronger LGT gearbox, however i dont know if that has been confirmed
dunno if you guys have seen this yet, but its supposedly a stock 09 on the dyno.

Thought I'd feed this little debate. A friend and I had a little contest from 40mph (both in 3rd gear), and I can honestly say that his engine-wise stock 09 WRX was even with my Stage 2 07 WRX. The only time I could actually pull on him was when I brake boosted.
His straight line mods:
-Tranny and differential bushings
-Kartboy SS and F/R and pivot bushings
-XPT Stg 2 map
-3" DP w/ stock axleback
