04 would be ls1. and they run in the mid/high 13's. mainly because of there suspension isnt good for drag racing. The Ls2's dont do much better until they get a better suspension for launching, after that they can run really well.

    I Support ClubWRX

Nice vid, but again, the question is about a 2002 WRX, not an STI.

I found that kinda funny too. when they compared the shelby mustang and sti they listed both times, the sti running 13.3 and mustang 13.7. not sure why they wouldnt do it in this one

The key to dragracing in a GTO (or any car) is to remember to slowdown at the end

I kinda skimmed through this thread, but I have had a chance to race a bone stock 6.0L GTO from a 40ish mile per hour roll, on two different occasions. This was when my car was stage 2 with some extra mods like a ported stock header and a few other out of the norm stage two mods. This was a guy I work with and we were just having a little fun. I pulled on him easily below 100mph, above 100 miles per hour he never got any closer the than the 3 to 4 car lengths I put on him below 100mph.
My 2.0l was freakishly fast at stage 2, I think there is alot of variability from one st2 car to the next. However, the GTO with a tune and exhaust work I think the outcome would have been different. From a dig on a 1/4" mile its gonna be about who can drive their car, if the GTO gets a good launch I think the party would be over for the Subie. I definitly wouldn't shy away from a stock 6.0L, ya never know til you try.

The subaru will get owned. I have a STage 2 STi and I have a tough time against a 6spd 6.0L GTO that only has an intake and weight reduction mods.
