Well considering that it weighs only 400lbs more than an sti, and has 100 more hp, the hp/weight ratio is in favor of the GTO, thus I wouldn't call it a fat pig in comparison.

Might seem like a stupid quesiton but im wondering.... have you raced her? How do you know she will cream you?

Also Dwill9758.... that "fat pig" might not have had the 6.0, so the could be why you "taught him a lesson"

Here are some stock 1/4 mile times for the GTO
First number is 0-60 and the second is 1/4 mile

All times are from 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for Factory Stock Vehicles

good place to go for some stock 1/4 mile times

    2004 Pontiac GTO LS1 5.3 13.8,
    2005 Pontiac GTO LS2 4.6 13.0 w/AT (GM Sales Literature),
    2005 Pontiac GTO LS2 4.7 13.1 w/MT (GM Sales Literature),
    2005 Pontiac GTO V8 w/6 Spd 4.8 13.3 (C&D Jan '05),

I've looked around on a couple forums and Stage 2 Wrx runs around 13.5 "average" with a great launch

as stated you'll win down low, but top end it will get way close. If you go from a 40 roll... you may get walked

People might be getting confused, the OP is the GTO owner.

You drive an '07; the 2.5 liter cars are quite a bit more torquey than the 2.0's at Stage 2. The OP is talking about a 2002 car. Apples and oranges.

Did you beat the GTO in the 1/4 or in a run? Was it an LS1 or LS2? Lots of variables here.

In the quarter, and LS2 will be very close to a 2.5 stage 2 WRX. Drivers race. In a "frumaroll", the LS2 will pull on it, no question. A stage 2 STi will stay with it up to about 80, but after that, it's "bu-bye", so a 2.5 Stage 2 WRX is going to be about the same result.
    BTW..did I mention I ran 12.9 stock?
