wrx vs frontier

im looking for any stock or cai/cat wrx in the phoenix area. to run against my cai/cat 6spd v6 frontier, at the track of course, eighter speedworld or firebird. (since, any mentioning of streetracing is not allowed on this forum

)

according to my calculations we should be pretty evenly matched..... anyone care to find out how a wrx does against a daily driver work truck let me know...

Hate to burst your bubble but a V6 frontier is no match for a Wrx. I'm a tech for nissan and I drive frontiers all the time. It wouldnt stand a chance against my 08'....

dragtimes.com has a small group of frontier times. Range from 15.9-14.6 depending on year, trim, mods. If your on the better side of that you may have a chance. Good luck and try to get a vid if possible.

Actually, streetraces are referenced all the time, here. Having said that, please do not use this as a venue to arrange streetracing. We don't need any legal troubles, thanks.

actually, id love for someone to burst my bubble. previous runins with rexies have lead me to believe i actually have a chance. so please someone put me in my place....at the track of course

well, lets do the math here.....

if your 08 is stock thats 224hp and 226 lb ft torque right? add in full time 4wd and you end up with what, 180 at the wheels??? on 3400lbs curb weight......correct??

my frontier is rated at 261hp and 281 lb-ft torque stock. add in cai and catback and 230whp is very conservative. on 4200 lbs curb weight. for a 2wd

now call me a dreamer, but you are far from beating me by any means....

what do you say, put the word out to any stock or cai/cat wrx in the phoenix area so that we can set up a 100% LEGAL race .......

Have you taken your Nissan down the track yet? If you cant find someone in your area to go with you, then you could always go yourself and benchrace away with your timeslip.

14.9 at 91mph it was 71.8 degrees, 24% hum, and 30.04 on the barometer. That makes my DA at 2835 feet above sea level. i should be able to run a 14.2-14.4 in the 1/4 mile just by racing at a sea level track in 40 degree temperatures.
