well i went into a dodge dealership the other day and started to look at the srt 8. not to buy just looking at it. anyways the guy took me out in it. wouldnt let me drive it his boss wouldnt let him. understandable. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WOW!!!! i later did some research on it and it does the 1/4 mile in 12.2 seconds and weighing in at 4000 pounds. very impressive. i believe the hp was sitting at 425

Which car is this? A Charger SRT-8? 12.2 sounds a bit unrealistic.

There was one on the same car carrier that was dropping off some Buicks at our dealership the other day (from what I gather, it was inbound for the local Dodge dealership). Looked smaller in person than it did in pictures, but still fairly large for a coupe.
One of the guys got a closer look and said it stickered for $65,000, which is WAY overpriced for what you get in my opinion. But hey all the ones they are making for this year are supposed to already be sold so what do I know...

i thought one of the srts could turn off 4 of the cyl. and get over 20 in econ mode...
im pretty sure it said 14 to 18 mpgs

this was a 2006 srt 8 i dont know about the 2007 and 2008 if they made them diff.

I saw one of the new challenger's (in orange) on the road last weekend. I must say it was a cool looking ride. Probably the only newer Dodge I would actually think of owning, if it were affordable.
I've never known anyone that drove an SRT8, who wasn't a total douche bag. just kidding
The "normal" 5.7 iter Hemi does that but not the 6.1 liter Hemi in the SRT8's.

12.2.... guy musta done a lot of stuff to that to make it a 12.2. They run 13.5's stock.
