Stage II WRX vs. GTI VR6

So my twin brother just got a 2002 GTI VR6 337, naturally I want to know who is going to win if we were to race (I don't think it will ever happen).

His car is bone stock for now. He's thinking of intake and exhaust.

Mine is 04 wrx running Cobb's Stg II 93 oct map.

My thoughts is that he would beat me off the line, but I would take him on a roll. Plus, he has the 6 speed vs my 5 speed, so I would be shifting less.

Your thoughts?

EDIT: I just looked up the weight of the GTI and its 3800?! Seriously?

seriously?? your numbers with stg 2 should be overkill, and front wheel=not so much off the line.

Yeah, I shouldve changed that when I found out the weight of the GTI. I figured since it was a hatch and only FWD it would be a lot lighter than the wrx, not 800 lbs heavier.

Fwd do nothing but spin the tires off the line. And you should beat him from a dig or a roll. Stage II is overkill.

you would destroy a gti vr6. they are not very fast at all. but in their defense, i'm positive they don't weigh 3800 pounds. more like 3200 or less.

VW's weigh more than they should. The R32 for example (the 08 weighs in at just under 3600lbs with 250 HP) which was meant to compete with the STi and EVO was just too heavy and underpowered even though it was AWD. VR6's are "quick" little cars but nothing to sweat about.
