The LS1 cars were typically underrated from the factory, IIRC.

I was the one doing the honking, so going from the steering wheel down to the shifter might of been the issue. I had him do it after i missed it twice.

Well .. I raced my friend's Z28 tonight. The outcome was crappy as anything as I thought I would of done alot better. Please tell me why he destroyed me as i like break downs. I understand I really need to learn how to launch as I think thats my biggest issue.

First Race: From a Dig, I missed Second

Second Race: From a Dig, I missed Second

Third Race: From a Dig, Took him off the line beautifully, got into second and still had a car on him. Third gear he just WALKED past me.

40MPH Roll: I would pull on him by a car, then he would WALK past me. Again and Again and Again

Cobb Stage 2 Accessport running 93 <-- I am thinking of having the car ProTuned before going as I dont believe my car is running at it's full potiental with this Stage 2 as I have additional Modifications.

With those mods, when you get your tune. You should be at STAGE 3.

I wouldnt mind an automatic, there's nothing like blowing past someone trying to race you while you're eating a hamburger or drinking something. I got a chance to ride in a CU sports car club member's camaro with ported throttle body and full exhuast and it just walked away from another member's evo. They gain power easily.

haha i do that with my supercharged Regal. its fun. i personally like driving a stick doing something equally stupid and random. like picking up my drink in a cup and sipping it then shifting real fast and act like i'm on a really spirited drive to church(i don't go to church really...). sometimes i talk to my girl and laugh at them when i'm beside them watching them try so hard

yeah those LS1's can lay down.there has been reports of birds making 12's stock i always wanted the overweight GTO when they came out but the suby was c**k blocking me thanks to payments. WS6 trans am would be to much insurance for me ever but is a dream.

Yeah, I was thinking he would be a solid STAGE 2.946, but the hose kit definitely pushes it to about STAGE 3.002, maybe even STAGE 3.003.

That's funny...I didnt know Cobb had a stage three for the 2.0's.

Sounds like he'd just be at a ProTuned Stage 2 with some add ons.

LS1 cars are underrated and typically made 290-300whp stock. Not to mention the car in question had a full exhaust and was likely over 300whp actually.

Thanks for the laugh. I have talked to Joe at Agile Automotive Performance - Tuning, Fabrication, and Parts . They are Protuned Certified from Cobb Tuning. I am going to get a protune done in about a month or two. Till then I am keeping the car in the garage under the cover. (Its a second Car) As it's running really lean due to the massive amount of Air Flow now without a Tune.

Only the LS1-based Fbodies were underrated. GM didn't want people to know that they made the same power as their flagship car, the Corvette.

It's funny how people here will dismiss Camaros as if they're some sort of joke. Wonderful potential in those LS1 cars, even with minor mods. I considered buying one a few years back.
