I'm just trying to give you a heads up. I was curious about the issue after a friend blew the welds during a friendly street race. The guy he was racing obviously lost respect for the Accord driver when this happened, but luckily the guy was planning on replacing the manifold anyway during his supercharger upgrade. It's quite a fast car now.

I didn't see any mention of it on here:

Technical Service Bulletin TSB information: DIYAutoTech

I'm guessing that someone here is messing with you since you seem to be coming here trying to say that a v6 accord is faster than a WRX.

While it might be faster stock, there aren't many stock WRX's to be found. Proportionately speaking the odds of running into a stock v6 accord are much more likely than running into a stock WRX.

I want to hear some real comments. I think the S2k was granny shifting and not double clutching like he should

    No prob.

Just saying, his car had under 40k miles when it happened. As I said, he did the bolt on supercharger thing and is hoping for a 10.xx car eventually with a turbo upgrade. If you're still stock, maybe go for an aftermarket manifold and then maybe some nitrous or another power adder.

I'm still confused - your name makes it sound like you have a WRX.

What car do you have? And where are you from? I'm sure we can find a local member with a WRX to race you and post the video on youtube. Then we will have a definitive answer instead of some random post pissing in the wind talking about which is faster. I can't promise you that we can find a stock WRX in your area though.

One of my mechanic friends has a 2006 Acura TL with a Comptech S/C - it runs well, has no issues. I believe Comptech also makes a supercharger kit for the v6 accord - that's my recommendation for power. I'd imagine it would put the car somewhere in the mid to high 13's in the quarter mile.

Sounds nice. Normally you'd think a car like that couldn't even be towed across the finish line, but Honda makes a stout motor. Kind of like Nissan SR20s.
