    first kill

hey guys, i just wanted to tell you a short story of my first kill. i have a 08 wrx sedan, and my cousin has a 08 rx-8. We"ve been planning on racing each other for a while now. so on saturday we decided to race. Haha. we went twice from a dig. On both those times, he got better starts by at least half a car before i started moving. I need to learn how to get a little more quicker off the line. Hhah. Well anyways, by second gear, I catch up, and eventually take the pass. hah it was all still fun though.

    End Story.

nah. they are supposedly a littl faster than previous years. im just not a good driver. hah. this is my first manual transmission car and im not so good, but im getting better.

also, the only time he gets a lead is off the launch and thats because i really suck and trying to launch the car. one of my other cousins just taught me how that day. haha.

I'd like to try an RX8 in the 30-90 mph range -- in my 6000lb truck.

Not only would we be pretty close, I'll bet our gas mileage would be identical as well!

Slip the clutch so you can get a better launch plus not worry about burning it either.

the way ive been launching was reving the motor to about 4500 and letting the clutch out slowly, whie at the same time pushing on the accelerator. does that sound right?

Yeah, but who would win in the "who has the uglier car" contest? I think it'd be a tie!

LOL I was just joshin' ya. And I have to give you credit, you got the sedan version instead of those ugly hatches! And it's still a Subaru. Those poor RX-8's got nothin' going for them.
