Question
My buddy and I are thinking of taking our cars to the track, he is rocking a:
2000 Audi 1.8T
Short Ram Intake
Custom Exhaust
Stage 2 ?? (He says "he went to the dealership and had them upgrade the computer to stage two") - I am quoting as it sounded screwy but does Audi do that for their cars at their dealerships?
Body Kit
Shinny Rims > -
I am rocking:
2004 Subaru WRX
SPT Short Ram Intake / SPT Heat Shield / Turbo Heat Shield
Invidia Up-Pipe
Invidia DownPipe
Invidia G200 Exhaust
Cobb Light Main Pulley
Cobb Accessport V2.0 - Rocking the Stage 2 93 Octane Mapping
-No Exterior Mods, I am performance type of guy.
What are your thoughts on what we will look like off the line and across the finish line?

stage II - wrx >>>>> audi 1.8t
Stage II and loving it!
i guarantee you will piss on him for sureeee
Yes, the Audi dealership will do computer upgrades and chip the car... and yes they respond quite well to it.
However, there is not going to give him enough to even come close to giving you a good race in a stage2+ wrx.
You'll destroy him.
A newer 2.0T with those mods might be a different story.

Wanted to know what kind of recommendations you have for launching at the track. Best way to do it? Thoughts on Cobb Launch Control? WHat is it exactly?

Launch control is only for the Drive by wire WRX wont work in your 2.0l
i think the best way to launch is to rev to 3500 pull out the clutch smoothly and then get on the gas hard.
I've gotten some of my best launches at around 5K, though I still can't beat the sixty foot of my mustangI think its becaues the tranny on the WRX worries me more than the mustang did.
96 Mustang: Shorty Headers, X-pipe, Electronic cut out, Air silencer Delete, K&N air filter, really sticky tires
