wrx vs maxima

i have a stock 2005 wrx and my friend just got a 2004 maxima stock He keeps giving me crap about how he could beat me...what do you guys think could he beat me off the line, rolling 35mph start, or a 65mph start?

isn't a maxima like a full size sedan family type vehicle?

short answer: no

if its an auto and you have a manual, and you are just getting used to your car, with poor shifting i suppose anything could possibly beat you. If this is the case, i highly suggest you don't race anybody. Not worth a broken tranny, if you are able to safely take your rex to its limits, you should be able to tell it can take a maxima. GL

hahah he does have an automatic and i do have a manual and i am new to manual and the wrx but not too new, ive had it for almost 6 months and put about 15k on it...but he just talking crap to me and he had called me and bragged about beating a wrx at a rolling start of 25mph...just wanted some reassurance : P thanks guys

oh ya, I forgot that there are some pretty quick ones out there.

I was thinking the lower end one.
sorry for the misinformation. I know i'd beat one though.
I beat a slightly modded RX7 from a dig in the 0-70 with a stock WRX but I know how to drive and shift really good. and the other guy sucked.

This is magazine racing and is nothing to go off of.

The VQ series of motors are no joke. I wouldnt want to run against one with a manual. It's going to be torque down low.

DTR will set this straight.

ETs don't matter frumaroll. It's all about trap speed then. Until you get some mods there's a long line of cars faster once traction is out of the equation.
