no... however people have swaped in the motor from the second gen (mine) and made it turbo AKA MK1.5.... there it quite a differnce in the three generations... first gen (AW11) came in n/A and supercharged form, the second gen (SW20 mine) cam in N/a (2.2L) and Turbo (2.0L), and the third gen, i dont really like so i dont even know what motors they have prolly some 1.8 from the celica.

but there have been some damn fast SW20's, there are more than one making 900 or so rwhp. so your buddies claim may be true... however i would want to see a video before i felt anything more than ... however do you know who built his motor? does EngineLogics sound farmilar? ChrisK (owner operator of enginelogics) has built the fastest MR2's in the world, some making just over 1000hp in europe. he did all the motor work on my car, and eventually will do the motor work on my WRX.

(C5 1998). I love this car... if you really really really want to see what happened to her ill show you but youll probably want to go puke to see a car like this in its current condition..

I want one. Four payments left on my car then it's the wife's turn, but thankfully she is more frugal so this would be easy to do on the side. So, on one shoulder we have BMW 6 series, MR2, Miata, or kit car (spyder probably), on the other we have Toyota truck. Hmmm.....
