Take away the wrx's launch and it's going to be a drivers race to the very end.

The GTI's linear power and very early turbo spool are deceptive.

In good conditions, it might be close. But once the road gets a little wet . . . And unless you live somewhere unusual, they'll be many days when you'll be happy to be in the AWD WRX over the FWD GTI.

OK, so what's wrong with my argument? (Note that I don't mean that you should race on ice roads just because you can get enough grip to pull away - AWD doesn't help you stop any faster than no wheel drive.)
