So the Accord is some miracle-mobile while Hyundai has offered just as much power in their Azera for the past several years. It's got the same power, a 5spd auto, and a 10 year warranty too.

I know, it's no Honda -- and thank God for that!

i dont know why people hate hondas so much. maybe i'm biased because i've had 3 of them but

1) they have AMAZING gas mileage
2) they're very reliable
3) they're cheap and easy to mod


the only bad thing about hondas are the people that drive them. that can also go for srt-4 owners, domestic owners, subaru owners and for any other car out there.

I disconnected the battery, while working on my mom's 99 V6 accord.
After I was done, the radio, and some other things wouldn't work anymore. We had to take it to the stealership, who did something to the computer to fix it.

Pretty "user-unfriendly" car.

ok, well it seems to me that the 08 accord is a massive contender. As a college student with a limited budget, and virtually no modding budget... It seems that the new 3.5L V6 pushing 268 horsepower is gonna make most stock WRX owners feel slow... Not that they are slow, but when your beaten, or almost beaten by a stock accord then well, it doesn't help the self esteem.

08 V6 accord - 14.6 seconds at 101.6 mph and 0-60 of 6.3

Well, What do yall think? I just know I don't want to line up next to an accord and feel kinda scared of loosing...

The price of the Accord (with the v6 pushing 268) is gonna run you right around 28grand.
Personally, I'd stick with what ya got right now and then buy whatever you want after college. From the way you are sounding, you want to race race race this car now. That spells 'upkeep' on down the road.

off topic..anyone remember the caravans with the turbo engine in them many years ago? (late 80s i think)

In the glove compartment is a 4 digit code that you have to set. Some have the code in the trunk.

but yes, the new accords are very nice cars, as are the older accords too. I'm positive the interior is much nicer and much more comfortable than our impreza's. they also have 6speeds m/t's I've owned an accord and will probably seriously consider one when it's time for a new car

it was a 97 900 se converiable. So it was a turbo model after the GM buyout. It was a nice car, but my dad at one point had a 89 SPG that was way cooler

You think so? My sister-in-law drove a late '90's 900 for a while, and let me drive it a couple of times. I thought that it was a hunk of junk, through and through. I haven't had the opportunity to drive a lot of different years of the model, though.

But it doesn't look nearly as nice as the new accord, and the accord is available in a 6MT, I have to have my MT

There are many family with 6 cylinders (n/a) around or even less than $30,000 that will take a stock wrx... particularly once rolling.

If I was in a stock wrx, I wouldn't even think about racing an Altima, Accord, or Camry. All can be had for just over $25k in base and will pull pretty well on you from a roll.

altima's are the slow! i drive one all the time and ive "raced" with it to get onto the highway, its my gf's car. she would never take my car even if it was stock

The new Altima V6's have 270hp, pushing a car that weighs between 3200 and 3300 pounds. Sounds pretty formidable to me, when compared to stock WRX specs.
