There's a unique front fascia, lower airdam and side scoops plus the not-a-hood scoop.

That has been the biggest pet peeve for me for the last 2 body style mustangs. Its kinda like out fitting the mustang with 13" cross drilled rotor hubcaps to hide drum brakes.

Wooow.....a more fair road test using the Shelby GT and STI.

I forget who it was now, but a company similar to Edmunds did a test of a 2005 Mustang GT vs a 2005 WRX (because their prices were similar). The test was very one-sided with the article writer making fun of the Subaru's AWD, and even with that fancy system it lacked the ability to keep-up with the GT.

yeah launching an STI at 5500rpms is pretty damn violent if you don't know what to expect...its downright scary the first couple times...
