Well this was a joke. We drove out to the airport and raced in an old access road where that was secluded. I gave him the hit, I had a perfect lauch and pulled hard until I let off midway in 3rd gear. My friend has a video that I will post once he puts it online. I won by bus lengths, no joke. Are Celica's realy that slow? I knew I would beat him but not that bad. He said he beat a DSM before but I don't know about that. He has an intake and catback.

I would put them in the same category as the Scion TC, Civic, and Chevy Cavalier.

Your comparing a performance car, in every sense of the word, to a car thats basically a factory built "pimp my ride" all show no go, if u can even call it "show" I hate that body style.

In all fairness to the Celica guys, the light weight and handling of those cars is nothing to scoff at. I know of a few guys in near stock Celicas who will tear most WRX's a new one on a tight autox course. That said, buying one to street race or drag race is a waste of time.
