^^So which track did you go to that would let you do a 20 roll?

ok, so my first race for the weekend was against an Audi TT 1.8L turbo 6speed. The TT was on stock turbo with CAI, Exhaust, and some badass open source tuning software. He turned up the boost on me. Spiked at 23psi, i think, and held 15psi.
I was running more than stock boost.
First gear, 20 roll. He honks 3 times... and i miss second after i hit the rev limiter.
Attempt #2. 20 roll. We both punch it and he stays next to me until he shifts into 4th gear. Then drops back about half a car, no more than a full length.
I would have won by a little more if i turned off traction control and didnt shift so crappy. It was a fun race and i have to get the video from a friend. I will try to post it as soon as i can get it.

Lol, yea which track? :P
Do you know which 1.8t it was? There's one with a k03 turbo w/ 180hp stock, and one with a k04 turbo w/ 225hp. The 225 has two exhaust tips hanging out, I think that's pretty much the only visual difference from the outside. I think also the 225 is AWD and the 180 is FWD up til '07.

Very problematic POS. She's for sale!
I fail to see what traction control has to do with a race between an AWD car at a 20 mph roll.
I highly doubt you can even chirp your tires at 20 mphs.
0-60 faster then your first sexual experience.

It was the AWD one. The power distribution is 80% front and 20% rear.
The tires dont chirp. The car will break traction briefly when i shift to second, which is just enough to engage TCS. If TCS is on, the car feels like it bogs down. Any other 08 owners notice this?
I went to a closed coarse in Mexico.

WTF? Are you just sidestepping the clutch while staying WOT between gears?
You'd need some serious power to have any sort of traction issues in 2nd - I mean serious power. Anything you're experiencing now has to be the result of manhandling the transmission and/or clutch.
Also let me say that it sucks that automakers have been forced to add TCS to all vehicles, even AWD.

...there is the video of me vs the TT.
I dont power shift. The sensor for TCS is disturbed just enough to turn it on. My car has more power than stock too.
i have another video for you 08 haters...
