ok, i cant help but laugh every time i watch this.
This video was taken with my camera phone by a CRX owner riding in the WRX. the race was from a 40 roll and went to 5th gear.

you can see the headlights but i think the guy yelling is more entertaining then the actual race. This guy was getting way to excited over VTEC.

What year TL?
I had a run-in with a newer TL-S 6speed which had Injen intake and Injen full exhaust. It put up a really good fight in the lowerend. Luckily he turned off before we hit the highway because I think he may have beaten me on the topend
I was def. the faster car, but the faster we went the less I pulled.

that's why i said "i don't know"... it was still a fun and very close race from a roll. I think the WRX would pwn from a dig. maybe next week.
the TL was not the type-s. not sure on the year, but i do know that it was AT not MT.

Both cars are pretty much stock and the WRX lost? Damn the top end sucks on our cars.
The WRX did not loose. They were trading the lead between shifts.

Yes, this is true.
Stage2 wrx's are getting beat by stock SRT4's and stock MS3's on the highway. It's a give and take though. That is price of AWD, a small, quick-boosting turbo, and the aggressive low-end gearing.

The WRX runs a deliberatly undersized turbo so it doesn't hurt the sales of the STi. They claim it's for spool but I'll bet there isn't 300 rpm difference between the cars.
The turbo's poor top end is magnified by the tuning that also lowers boost as rpms rise. You just can't win! Luckily it's all easily fixed, and at prices half of what it costs us poor Legacy owners.
