    I'm sure that's a traction-limited 4.9 seconds. 0-60 mph isn't really a meaningful whp performance figure, its more of a traction measurement. Some higher HP cars are still spinning their tires at 60mph, then they'll hook and slingshot to 100 in a matter of seconds.

    IMO, 1/4 mile trap speed is a much better indicator of power/weight

    That was the 99 SVT Cobra that had the power issue and it was remidied by Ford, it was a long time ago, the 03-04 Cobras were pretty underrated ( by about 30 HP) from the factory, so it all evens out in the end.

    As for a 4.9 0-60, that doesn't really matter. If you throw on some wider and stickier rear tires on there, which many owners will do, the time will greatly improve (obviously). However, a RWD 300 HP car will not come close to the 1/4 mile time of the GT500, even if the Shelby is a fat pig.
