    FPGreen WRX vs FPGReen Evo8,ApexI ISAMU RX6 Turbo Kit Evo8, Bolt On/Meth/Tune Evo9

    This past weekend I had a showdown against a few quick evos around town, the evos had been wanting to run my WRX for quite a while and it finally happened.
    First evo, had a fpgreen turbo, cams,bolt ons, c16 race gas and a Jestr tune at 27lbs.
    We ran 3 times from a 40-120, one of the runs I got a hard jump (brake boosting woohoo) and he couldnít make up the 1.5 car length I was out.
    Second run we were pretty much even to 100 when I missed 4th. On the last one we went back and forth and he shut it down at 120. We also did a 50 roll with the same result to 120.

    next evo i ran had a ApexI ISAMU RX6 Turbo kit with a built motor, dyno tuned at 460awhp with 24psi, but that night he said it spiked to 27psi and tampering to 24psi. At 40 roll I brake boost and again Iím out by 2 cars but he makes up the gap and catches me at 120 where his 4th ends with him up by a maybe a fender. 2nd run we were close from 40 to 100 where I miss 4th again, last run i got out by half a car from a 40 roll up to 100 where he let off, at that point his car was acting up.

    Next evo was a evo9 with bolt ons, meth and tune at also 27psi
    I pulled him twice to 100 where he let off with me about 3+ cars up.

    I also ran one more evo with a fpgreen, cutout, meth, and a jestr tune with 30psi, his lag really hurt him, but at the same time his car was breaking up so it didnt count.

    funny you should say the EVO engine was acting up. A friend of mine has
    an evo and his engine blew up!!!! Dead engine. Warranty voided. Bad engine? Too much boost? It's seem weird that EVO owners are blowing up their engines

    Anyone else know of EVO owners that have blown their engine?

    Are the engines that bad or are the owners that stupid!!

    I don't see any tranny work. Are you stock tranny with a Green Turbo??

    yes sir, for over a year now on the green, completly stock drivetrain.

    as long as your using grade A tranny fluid made to not boil until way high levels and its changed as scheduled or better youll be just fine as far as that goes. what you need to worry about is how hard slam a gear and release the clutch after the up shift.

    Stupid owners and/or bad tunes. The 4G63 will take more boost and power than the STi engine. That's based on consistency though.

    There are certain 4G63's that will blow with 350whp or so, as there are STi's that do the same thing. It happens.

    Agreed, the 4g63 will take more boost but the STi isn't exactly a slouch in the HP on stock internals department. But I think you'll agree that a bad tune will end a motor quick fast and in a hurry.
