I can sort of see it. You're paying premium dollar when you buy a Jag; there's a reasonable expectation of beauty, as opposed to the more middle-classed priced Impreza. (Which is most assuredly not a beauty contest winner, no matter what year you're talking about)
Aesthetically, I like certain Jags. Most of the Ford-look newer models are more or less in my "Meh" category.

"best looking cars of all time" is subjective, not axiomatic.
Certain early E's look great to me. Late E's, not so much. I'm not going to make a broadbrush statement saying that all E's are "great looking".
