Some races

Well last night I met up with some local guys I met not too long ago here in Omaha and we went out to this back country road and had a few races. The cars I raced were as follows:

1. 06 WRB WRX TR w/ U/P, and catless T/B no EM.
2. 00 Mustang GT w/exhaust, 410's, drag radials, headers, and CAI and its auto- (I think he said it was diablo tuned... i'm not a ford guy, lol)
3. 04 SRT-4 - apparently stage 3 w/toys but it was the slowest car of the evening.
4. 04 SRT-4 - stage 0 w/BOP

My buddy with the TR really knows how to launch his car and shift IMO. Both times him and I raced he had me out of the hole and pulled about a car on me.

Both times the mustang and I raced I had him and pulled about a car and half on him. Then I let my buddy with the TR drive my car against the stang and he pulled about 2 and a half cars on him.

The TR ran the Stang twice and pulled about 3 cars on him.

The TR ran the "STG 3" srt4 and pulled a BUS LENGTH on him both times... as did I... LOL. The stang pulled a few cars on him 2.

I ran the stg 0 srt 4 and pulled like 2 cars on him.

All in all it was a fun and safe evening and I'm looking forward to racing with these guys at the track.

My bad... I forgot to tell you what car I had. I have an 07 Silver WRX Wagon with a megan racing catless T/B, K&N drop in filter, boost guage, and strut/sway bars. No EM... I'm actually waiting for the AP but apparently they're on back order. And I have some Megan Racing headers, MR up pipe, and an A/F ratio guage sitting in my basement. I had a "show off valve" on for a week but after I was "enlightened" by NASIOC, I took it off due to it running rich between shifts.

Nice runs, not sure the guy in the stage 3 SRT could drive very well..

go race those SRT-4s from 40-120 (on a closed course) and see who walks away in that scenario..

a BOV isn't as bad as the haters want you to think it is. It has quickly become the characteristic the boards use to single out the newbs from OGs so people basically bully the new guys into getting rid of them, which I think is lame.

A bov valve is about as 'bad' as running a turboback without EM on an STi or an 06+ WRX. A bov is more unecessary than bad, but then again so are CF hoods,huge wings, lips, 18+" wheels...the list goes on...

why do people get them? cause they want the attention.

nice. mustang seems alil slow for the mods but what do i know

Diablo tune is about the same thing for Mustangs and big engines as an Accessport or Open Source etc. is for us...

That mustang should have been going much faster than that...weird.

Glad you had fun and were safe though.

Let me guess the Srt's were running from a dig without drag radials? Good kills.
