I Raced a reg. cab w/ the iforce v8 last friday in my 2wd TBSS (intake and tune). Not really that impressed, I pulled 4-5 truck lengths by about 75. I let off and he gave me the flyby with a middle finger.

    Probably a 4.7

Either way, wouldn't an intake and tune Trailblazer SS be a deep 13sec truck? I don't know what you expected from a stock pickup truck competition wise

The truck was the 5.7 iforce. Have you not seen the comercials for those things? You would think they could smoke my TBSS while towing a shipping container and then outbrake an enzo.

Regardless... It's still a pickup truck intended for pickup truck purposes. Sure, it is the top performing fullsize pickup; but it is ridiculous to be unimpressed by one because your deep 13sec modded SS whomped on it.

That is like me saying I am unimpressed by the civic si or nissan altima because my stage2 wrx beat it by several car lengths upto 70mph, lol.

I love my new Tacoma. Such a comfortable truck to ride in and at 0-60 in 7.1s for the double cab automatic, its not too slow. TRD should be coming out with the 4.0L supercharger sometime this year too.

A few months ago there was a Ford F-350 turbo diesel (full utility cabinet rear) running low low 16's, he was aiming for 16 flat. His only mods were intake and a tune. I thought that was insane for the size of this thing plus the full utility cabinet rear end which must weigh a ton.

    Completely agreed...

I ran a TBSS with only exhaust at a track and it ran a 13.7 quarter...they are damn quick.

Now a full sized pickup running mid 14s and he beat it by the equivalent of a second? That speaks impressive to me as well

There are 6 levels of boost you can dial in with the click of a button.

I put it on "Extreme Mode" and I was spinning the 325 wide 65 tall 20" rimmed tires on that bad boy through all of first, and a bit into 2nd.
