    yeah upgrade to an STi or an Evo and you might not have to worry about the trans, but heavily modded STis shatter axles all the time. If its not one thing its the other.
    First of all, you don't have an '06+ WRX. And exactly, "THINGS BREAK", and I'd rather not have "THINGS BREAK." We have more torque to start out with and different final drive. It's still a mystery to me as to why the '06's seem to break much more than previous year but I'm guessing it's mainly the torque. Daily driven WRX's with torque in the upper 200's will break the tranny eventually. Whether it's 10k or 100k miles they'll break rather prematurely. Sometimes I wish I had just bought an '05 and went Stage 2 which seems to be the most reliable/conservative setup.

    Second of all, when I do upgrade to an STI or Evo I don't plan on "heavily" modifying it so I won't have to worry about breaking axels.
