    i came across a 93ish fox body 5.0 on the highway yesterday. i pulled throught fourth gear and he was still behind me we both lifted around 125 as we were getting into traffic. he claims upper and lower intake and throtle body mods and exhaust. ME - STOCK 03 WRX

    If by 'the only way' you mean 'not one of the many ways'...the 5.0 is one of the cheapest/easy to mod engines out there. And seriously, explorer engine?

    After reviewing the infamous Explorer post, I have come to the conclusion that he is talking about the Explorer 5.0 intake plenum.

    When installed on a 5.0 Stang, you can pick up a few lbs of torque.

    I think you are given him more credit then he deserves.

    GT40 intake or Cobra intakes can be had rather cheap. I wouldnt waste my lunch break putting on an Explorer intake on any self respecting 302 variant.
