Coming down I-495 MMOB, had a 350z convert (probably stock w/ HIDs) riding my ass. So traffic clears, I move over to right lane at 60. He trys to blow by me, but I stop his pull and proceed to put a couple bus lengths on him.
Oh well, nice to know the ole girl can still move out.

I'm not all that impressed with the 350z's straightline performance. Of the several i've seen at the track, they seem to run 2.0+ seconds slower than me. And i'm a bad driver.

and its tq is insanely low,
a stage 2 wrx will kill it from a roll and walk it from a dig
ahhh..... how would a stock wrx fair? obviously, i know about from a dig, but other than that...
from a dig u rule alot of cars, but we get smoked from roll normally so when u beat someone from a roll u have braggin rights basically
Ok lets put the facts on the table here.
Assuming equal drivers stock for stock the Z will win in a 1/4 mile drag race. However on th street and given that the average Z driver isn't a very good driver anything can happen. As said before stage 2 wrx should win no matter what with equal drivers, stage 2 isn't alot of mods so draw your own decisions.
The 350z has 287hp 274 ft/lb, 300hp 260ft/lb or 306 hp 268ft/lbs engines.
03-05 have the 287 hp engine 06 has the 300 07 has the 306 (thats in new sae standards). All automatic cars except for 07's have the 287hp engine. Automatics also have 3.2 rear end vs a 3.5 in the stick. Also one thing to note is the the base model doesn't have lsd which makes it much harder to launch. Weight is around 3100 for a base/enthusiast model with a touring convertible being the heaviest.
Times for good drivers are usually around high 13's to the occasional mid 13 with the newer 07's being the best (theres been a few 07's < 13.5) and the 06's being the worst in the quarter mile or short race due to the reduced torque.
