    I just got challeged >.> /sigh

LOL, probably not supposed to be talking about this, but I haven't done anything wrong, and not saying I'm going to either! So... Pthhhhhhhh!

So I'm sitting there at work, and this guy I know with a stock VW Jetta says to me "You and me need to race. $100" and walks away smiling as he always his.

I left work early today and see his car. I'm staring at his new rims, admiring how good his car looks... Then it caught my eye... Behind the front bumper... Something BIG... Something silver... and it doesn't look like any radiator I've ever seen... I get closer and the big piping on each end with blue silicone hoses connected to it confirmed it... FMIC.

I know from way back and rolling with VWs time to time, they're not a slouch. So I'm gonna tell him "let me pick the place" ...

If I throw the TurboXS Stage2 Unichip back on, I'll have a double ECU mod which absolutely requires 93 or higher octane or the engine won't start. but with the dual ECU mod, I've beaten an STI.

If he's running an upgraded turbo I doubt you could beat him unless its a short sprint from a stop.

Turbo intercooled Jetta? - I'd imagine 250/300+ at the crank depending on how much boost he's running.

Can you afford to lose $100?

You should still have a good shot running him from a dig upto 60/70 mph. However, any rolling starts and I would def. make sure you can afford to lose $100. Upgraded turbo VW's tend to have crazy topend.
    Also, is it a 1.8T or VR6?

    VR6 turbo's trap over 110mph like it's their job.

So are you sure this guy even has a big turbo? Just because he has a front mount dont mean his big turbo, He might of just chipped it and put a fmic on his car and thinks its all super fast now.. But still with a chip he will get some ok power with a 1.8t.

You should do it for the soul purpose to prove your self on this forum. There is way to much paper racing going on around here these days. The fact you even brought this to our attention means you have to do it. Because we can not determine the winner for you. If you don't I will be disaponted.

After him telling me it runs 25psi and hits 120 like it was nothing, I am going to wait for a good Northeast/NewEngland bizzard!

I've played with VWs, I know they're not friendly! I've been slain like I was standing still by two back (Red GTI and a yellow GTI) to back once when I still stock.

Told him I want to see under the hood for sure though. A monster like that is just begging to be looked.

Not sure about it being a VR6 or whatnot. It's debadged. Dark blue, I'd say like a 2002 or so model. Quite the nasty little sleeper.

I'm even more eager to look at it though since it currently has a boost issue he mentioned to me. Sounds like a serious boost leak of sorts. Maybe I should race him while he's gimp!

As it stands, I'm 99% sure he'd win in a straight line, especially if I'm exceeding 3rd gear. Anything, anyplace, anywhere resembling a bend or curve on the road... And he'll be inserting money into my hands with tears rolling down his face, knowing AWD pwned his FWD!

On that note... A friend of mine just said...

"gravel road IN the snow FTMFW!"

btw, where the money is concerned...
    For him it's no issue...
For me... It's a serious issue.
$100 in my pocket would be nice...
Especially since my employer is screwing me over on hours...

I think you would be suprised how well FWD cars can handle compared to a stock suspensioned WRX...
