I guess that depends on what year Mustang.

Intake doesn't do all that much on a fairly stock Mustang unless you do the throttle body and plenum as well. A T/B with plenum with the stock MAF and plastic intake tube will get you around 5-8 wheel hp. Just a MAF and intake tube doesn't do anything really if that is all the "intake" is so i guess it also depends on your definition of "intake".

4.6ltr, and yes it has it. Well, with those mods the GT is probably looking at a best time of maybe 13.6-7 in the 1/4mi with a pretty good driver and a really good launch. His hp is also dependant on which headers and exhaust he has. I don't have as much experience with WRX's (I assume you mean 02-05 model years) but I think those times are pretty close to what a Stg.2 WRX runs. I think they are in the 13.8-9 range in the 1/4 but please correct me if i'm wrong.

From a roll, I give the edge to the GT. The open exhaust will help it a lot, and he's probably putting more power to the ground. From a stop, it is a drivers race. The WRX should launch better provided the GT isn't wearing drag radials.

Also, what's the deal with people asking "what-if's" in street racing and then giving such vague details??? I mean, not even model years... Are we supposed to guess??? There can be a lot of variation between model years. There can also be alot of variation between different brands of mods. All "intake, headers, and exhaust" are not created equal...

Well, if you're only making 205whp then the GT across the board. A 99-04GT puts down anywhere from 230-235whp STOCK. With his mods, again depending on which he has, you can probably tack on another 20whp easy. But your number doesn't sound right to me...

If he's running "headers" like you say he probably has full exhaust, meaning headers, midpipe (maybe offroad X pipe or somthing) and cat-back. Depending on the combo, a mid-pipe and cat back can net a GT 15-20whp. No sense in doing headers and leaving the midpipe stock to the catback.

i'm putting down around 275whp on pump gas and after my crappy clutch burning launch i just barely started pulling from a 4.6 gt that was bassically stock.

You need a new clutch you should be walking all over a stock gt with that kind of hp.

A Stage 2 WRX should be putting down around 220awhp untuned running a off the shelf map.

And for the record there are a few stage 2 WRX running low 13's high 12's.

12.9 Cobb stg2
13.4 Cobb stg2 wagon
13.1 WRX (stg2 equivlent)

With a good driver high 12 or low 13's can be had.

Also I have smoked a few 4.6 stangs with those mods with my TurboXS stage 2 WRX.

on a 1/4 mile track, you got a pretty good shot at beating him. with a sub-2.0s 60ft time he'll get murdered.

on the highway, anything past a 40mph roll and you're done as soon as you hit 4th

my clutch is fine, i just suck at launching and i'm to wussy about my tranny so i slip my clutch way to long.

yes im only making 205whp,255 crank hp250 pounds of torque with uppipe, downpipe, hks ssq, aem intake. whats the normal stage 2 at? i have an ecutech and tuned by crawford? are there other people better then crawford to get it tuned by? maybe i need a stronger clutch?
