Not bad. Looks like you had a little trouble off the line. You can probably hit 12 flat if you nail the launch. But I guess I don't have to tell you that, based on your experience with the stangs.

yup my 60s are at 1.80 flat. I need to play with tire pressure. Also the shift linkage on the Audi sucks balls, really sloppy and nothing real out there other than a short throw. However the short thrown doesn't help the crap linkage.

I don't blame you. They are bad ass cars. Just expensive to buy parts for.

I stumbled across some webpage of some girl's s4, she had both turbos replaced at just 22k miles becasue they were gone, I also remember some other dude with his website and he had to replace his tranny at 33k miles. I used to love AUDI for their comfort, looks inside an out, the the performance of s4 but when I was going to buy it my friend told me that they are so many problems with them, and this is becoming more and more evident.

Mine has been stage 3 since it had 40k miles on it. It now has 96k on it. I have only had to change my new K04s and rebuild the tranny due to abuse. I don't think that is too bad.

However with those low mileage failures, those should be under warranty. Maybe someone would get their turbos hot then immediately shut it down?

Yeah she had it under warranty so no cost to her, the car was completely stock. I don't know first hand but everyone keeps on saying that they have problems with them. I would love to have an S4 but becasue eveyone kept on telling me that they suck I had to stay away. My dad and I put a 96 A4 together after we bought it from a salvage auction, and the thing ran like a champ but trying to put it together was a crap shute. The wiring was all convoluted, and parts were hard and exensive to come by. However the way it drove was great, and it looked great too, it was the red "rust" color and I got the S4 bumper on it. The only thing wrong with it that wasn't accident related, was a PVC valve that went bad and was almost 200 bucks to replace. The thermostat also went and to get to it you had to dissasemble the entire front of the car and all of the pulleys becasue it was hidden behind them. A job that would normaly be maybe 50 bucks to do, cost us 350 becasue it was too much for us to take apart in our garage. They are nice cars but the way they are put together make it very hard and very expensive to fix, that is why we got rid of it. Like all german cars the engine and transmission is bullet proof, but the electronics and accessories will cost and arm and a leg to fix.

I have never dynoed it. The race gas tune is + or - 50 hp more from 91. I also have a 93 octane tune and a 104 octane tune besides the 100 and 91. Regardless it should be putting down 400 hp to the tires at least, based on other cars I have seen.

I don't have an FMIC, just RS4 spec side mounts in the factory location.

    Thanks

Audi's "sport" division is getting too far away from the sport, and more toward the comfort/big engine. The B5 S4 is the best of the series...I was in love with the B6 until I drove it. If it lost maybe 500 lbs, it'd be one of the sweetest cars out there. It tries to do what the STi and Evo already do, except with more luxury gadgets and less reliability.

Oh, and I wouldn't say no to an RS6, either.
