my 02 wrx vs you guessed it, an srt-4

Ok so I've raced my friend before when he just had the mopar stg 1 upgrade and pulled a nose from a roll. That was when I had cat-less turboback exhaust and boost controller set to 15.5 psi in 4th. Since then I have added a wrapped up-pipe and he has added a adjustable wastegate, ebc set to 18 psi, Intercooler hardpipes and a aem sri. I figured that i don't stand a chance from a roll, but wanted to get a second opinion. Oh and he got his car dynoed about a week ago and got 230hp and 250tq to the wheels.

No chance from a roll unless he sucks at driving. Half of a chance from a dig though

Those numbers seem pretty low for what he has done, and yes he will most likely win.

I thought srt-4 were rated at 215hp stock and as for the numbers should be higher he said he might have a small boost leak or could be pulling timing because of the higher boost levels.

They way underrated the power on those things... they are great from a roll, and they can typically catch a stock wrx by the end of second....

03 SRT'S were rated at 215hp but that jumped to 230hp on the 04's and up, yeah those numbers don't sound right at all because my stock 04 SRT dynoed at 241hp they come very underrated from the factory sounds like your boy has a problem somewhere!

It also depends on which dyno you get the numbers from. David Buschur has a Dyno in that if you manage to get 300WHP out of it, you have a car that will trap at 120MPH+ That upgraded wastgate actuator is a BIG mod for the Neon's, holds boost where the stock Neon's fall of alot, it is a big topend mod.I am wondering how much a up pipe adds to a scooby but remember this.He has a larger turbo then you, larger motor, lighter car AND less drivetrain loss, I bet he beats you good.

We shouldn't trust dyno's taken from Rocky.

If data from Rocky IV was really factual, then Drago's punch exceeded the compression strength of normal weight concrete!

    Poor Rocky
