yeah, that rear-mount kit is pretty nice.... 12psi is kinda high for a ls1... they have a 10:1 compression ratio shock... most kits are 8lbs.... but 460 sounds about right.... a h/c setup is a bit better than a supercharger for our cars... much better on the motor, and just about as fast as you can spin the motor a little higher.... I take mine to about 6600 now.... so it's a lot of fun... I'm about to send the car in to get the new clutch put in.... so I'm hoping it should be a little more fun.... this will take place in like 2 weeks... so after that, I'd love to meet up with you and your bud just to talk cars.... sti's are my fav import... other than the s4

Yeah, he used to say "Well with my 8lb pulley I'd run X-amount of hp, and with my 12lb pulley I run this much." I never knew what he was doing. He was always swapping them out and messing with that car.

He also used to do his own pcm tuning, as he's a "techie" kinda person. I never knew what the hell he was talking about when he'd talk about running his injectors at "-1, +4," or whatever #s he threw out. I was lost.

Yeah, I told him 12psi is a bit much on a stocker too, but he did have an intercooler so I'm sure that helped a great deal. I always say, "boost doesn't kill motors, detonation does."
