Larger displacement, two less wheels to power.

+ earlier spooling turbo, highly underrated from the factory, weighs a couple hundred less, and has stock built internals which = more boost.

Yup. Awesome motor. It's a shame they attached it to a Neon

Disclaimer: In no way am I bashing sensitive SRT-4 owners. I like teh SRT-4. I just never much cared for Neon's.

All it takes is a stage 2, turbo back exhaust, and a boost contoller and your over 300hp and around 315trq and you only spent around $2000! Best bang for the Buck on the street right now!

uh...say what? What are you talking about? If a wrx has 230whp and a SRT-4 has 230wph they will be pretty even from a roll, the only factors are the weight and the gearing since you are already taking away the awd disadvantage by putting two cars with equal whp against one another. When you measure whp it already takes away the awd loss so basically two equal cars one being awd the other being fwd with 230whp will be equal from a roll if all other things are equal. If you have 300whp in a wrx or an sti you are going to destroy a stock SRT-4, i am not sure what you are comparing here, but if you are comparing a stock SRT-4 you need about 230whp to keep up from a roll.

I don't think he ment 300 whp, unless sti's come stock with 300 whp now

Stock srt's are really close to stock sti's from a roll, there rated at 300 hp, and the srt is rated at 230. I think that's what he was talking about.
