I decided to take a drive the other day, and lo and behold this Toyota Prius pulls up next to me, with this dude driving it with his entire family in the car. I obviously paid him no mind, and took off as normal. I mean, who expects a Prius to (try to) race?
This guy would start to pace me, then step on the gas and pull ahead, then let off the gas and wait for me to pull up while in between shifts. Then, as soon as I'd get up next to him, he'd start pacing again.
Finally, I just gave it a nice thrust forward, and heard the little half-assed Prius rev up its little weak engine, and just decided to toy with him. I'd pace right next to him, and then inch up on him, and then I finally just got sick of playing with the Prius, sort of like a cat just loses interest in a dead mouse after a while. I just decided to put a stake in the Prius, and left him car-lengths behind.

Yeah, you might not want to put that on your car's kill list though. Maybe if some ricer is talking crap, then you can use it.

Good point. I can tell the ricer that I beat a stock Prius with 4 people in it that is faster than his Civic with the fake carbon fiber hood!

I'll tell ya though, I was nervous. I was sure he was gonna pull on me hard. I was amazed that I won, especially considering I made the promise to myself that I had to beat him at no more than between 1/2 and 2/3 throttle.
Damn those Priuses (Priii?)....they always get me in the midrange.
