Hey guys, I was just thinking...what is the known fastest "streetable" wrx out there. By that, I mean one that is usuable as a daily driver, and not gutted/track-only.
Just wondering while bored at work...
06 GTO - yeah, it's pretty quick

I guess this depends on your interpretation of streetable.
I'd say BV's 10.2 second car.
I dont know about the absolute fastest, but there is a local guy by me running mid 11's in a daily driver. I know there are some in the 10's that are capable of being daily drivers.. Doubt that they are though.

I had this argument with a DSM'r locally a while back who swore up and down that a lexan'd open downpipe'd drag car on DOT approved tires was a streetable car. Like I siad, it's all about what you consider streetable.
my friend has a 10 sec 02 wrx with 75k mi on it and had not had a problem... well just the cluch!
he's in the 10's with a stock wrx tranny?

Not only what you would consider steetable but where it's streetable. I think cali has the toughest car laws/restrictions and there is an sti close to 600whp somewhere around where I live and he ran like 10.2 or 10.3 and that was with the stock clutch (yes it was slipping bad) so I think with a nice clutch he could see mid to high 9's and who knows maybe really low 9's. Now this car is street legal in cali but streetable as an everyday driver? I don't know if I'd drive it around that often but yeah it's street legal.
Oh and while we are on this topic, has anyone seen the perrin shop car? it was in modified magazine. They dropped an H6 in it with the gt35 turbo and what they said was the biggest intercooler around. They haven't dynoed the car but they said it will easily be over 600hp. They used a new 06 sti for their shop car.
You might be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you'll dance with the reaper.
I am honestly amazed that someone could cut that time with a stock wrx trans & clutch. You sure it wasn't an auto?
