The way this was phrased, $31,000 is a little over 50% more than $20,000. 1/3 more than $20,000 would be $26,600.Originally Posted by '05 STi
When calculating how much more something is, you take the percentage of the original number, and add it on. You start with $20,000. 50% of $20,000 is $10,000. Add that on, and you have $30,000. $30,000 is 50% more that $20,000. $40,000 is 100% more that $20,000.
When you start with $30,000, and divide into 3, $20,000 is 2/3 of $30,000.

And the train will arrive a 3:00Originally Posted by '05 STi
Nah, we are discussing math. When you have $20,000, and you want to buy a $30,000 car, you need to spend 50% more.Originally Posted by '05 STi

Also, when you add 1/3 of $30,000 with $30,000, you get $40,000.Originally Posted by '05 STi

yeah, but it's not a domestic is it? I just don't see a SRT-4 doing over 100,000 miles reliably.. especially a used on that was prob. already beat half to death by some kid...Originally Posted by BrianH

Nah, if I get a truck I'll get a larger truck that I can tow with.
These threads are fun. First off both the STI and srt4 are hopped up versions of lesser cars.If i wanted to commute i would buy an 2.5rs or an neon sxt. I like most people here like to DRIVE. Don't try and say how the STI is a rally car cause its not. It doesn't meet wrc regs anymore, albeit it has a tremendous history behind the wheel. I have owned both cars for awhile now. I dont compare the two, they are way to different. Just enjoy what you have and respect what other peoples tastes are.
Used to have stg4 wrx. stuck w/ stg0 srt4
