05 wrx vs. 06 cobalt ss

Sorry but your friend can't drive if that is all he can do. I got lined up with a bone stock CSS at the local track and he ran 14.5 with 2.1xx 60'. Mind you, our DA during the summer is horrid, it is usually 3,000+.

Ummm, SRT-4's have about the same trap speeds as a 350z and can be higher than a G35. They are in fact, from a roll, a fairly good race with an STi, a little slower, but very close. Certainly a bad STi driver could get beat by a good SRT4 driver form a roll on... Why would you think they are lying??? The thing puts down 225 whp (about the same as an STi). On a roll, I'd take the SRT-4 over the G35 for sure, and call it a dead heat against a 350. Either way, these are very close races, even with the STi (from a roll) and certainly nothing to raise the BS flag about....

+1 Srt-4 drivers aren't pulling any bs when they say they beat these guys. they are stupid fast from a roll.

no not really because i know that my wrx will **** on a cobalt ss from a stop, freeway roll, and anytime it wants to go i will be ready haha, but i have herd that with some $$$ they can hit high 12's easy wondering if that is true...

lol, take wrx's out of that list. most people can not launch a wrx, thus taking away its only advantage, the ss is gonna start chasing the wrx down the second it gets traction. i agree that wrx's can take it but not with no problem. haven't heard any of the 06 wrx stats yet, they might be able to keep it away from a roll.

I post real world time which i've seen stock CSS run against me and you post magazine time, pretty funny stuff.

I tell you what, I'll go by what I've seen in a real world, you go ahead live by mag time.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out.

WRX: 3100 lbs 170 WHP

SS is lighter and it's FWD, which enables it pull away from WRX from a roll. WRX isn't too impressive from the roll.

I got walked really bad by one above 80 from a roll on the inetrstate. No surprises there...hell, A Buick LaCrosse can give a stock Scooby a fit from a roll!
