its not a production car or a concept, HPA makes it. Its like going to ESX and have them build u a 720hp sti.

How is the new Honda Civic Si any more of a ricer mobile than a WRX
Not that I think either car is in itself a ricer mobile, its all what the owner does to it that gets it this nameplate, but in all honesty I've been getting kindof sick off seeing every kid with an allowance go out and buy an 02wrx because they can get them on the cheap now. WRX's are the new Civic's of the import market, and unfortunatly are becoming just as big of a "me too" car as the Civics always were.
the WRX will not become the new civic for years and years to come. You still can't find a decent used 02 WRX for less than 14k. Once you can get a WRX for 5K is when it will become the new civic.

Most places don't rate racing from a roll on the highway either.
It is a concept (it even says "SEMA concept" at the bottom of the first pic), but if you noticed he said 550awhp, as in its AWD, so I doubt if a rolling race would be its only strong point.

I'm almost positive the article is in Automobile... I've got it sitting here on my desk but too lazy at the moment to read the article.
Even if the 06 Si was that kind to bolt-ons to make 240hp, it's still not going to keep me from trading in my 04 Civic for a WRX next summer.
I just read at clubhonda that the 06 CIVIC SI made 204 at the Wheels.

I wouldnt put too much credit on that. It has been confirmed that it is the exact same engine as the one in the RSX-S. The only reason it is rated at 195hp instead of the 210 like the RSX was is because they used the new SAE standard that just came out which is slightly more conservative than the old standard. I can see no reason why it would make 175-180whp in the RSX and suddenly make 20 more whp in the civic

But the 06 has 500rpm less of that powerband to work with.
And much more area under the torque and horsepower curves. It doesn't help to have an extra 500rpm if it's not making power anyway.
