GSR against my wrx& Sti vs lightning

my best friend just got a green 4 door integra GSR which is kinda badass b/c 4 door integras are kinda rare and you never really see a 4 door GSR.. but anyways he was stock, we raced the day after he got it and we went from a roll b/c a stop would of been absolute murder but we went from about 20-100 and I put about 7-8 cars on him but what really suprised me was that initially he kept up even when i started to hi boost but after 3500 rpms in 2nd it was very over. I just have up,dp,intake.But he has some pretty sweet plans for that car.

But then there was a little better race(dont know why i didnt put this one first, its alot more interesting) it was a stock STi my buddys got,which I love its silver on white, he went up against my friend jared with a 99' F-150 lightning with headers, full exaust, intake,electric cooling fans,and he put down eactly 350 at the wheels(I was with him at the dyno) but they went from a slow roll up to about 120 and the STi had him at his rear door the whole way, hell of a good race.

nice run!

This is of no suprise. With your mods you should be trapping around 97mph or so and a stock 4door GSR will trap 91/92mph or so.

Good kills for you and your friend. When I had my Si i though lightings were so far out of my league, but now that I've done some mods to my STi they just dont seem as fast anymore.

Yeah his lightning is nuts its pretty much dead even all the way up and the STi wasnt stock which I just found out it had a dp,up but the crazy part is that the lightning keeps up with 23 inch chrome lexani rims and subs in the cab which adds up to a heavy a$$ truck.

I have an 02rs and I beat that gsr, wrx, and the lightning by 5 car lengths. Ha ha what up Conrad.

Why does your friend have 23 in chrome wheels, that is not good for a performance truck, especially if he races it. His power also seems low for being modded. I would expect that truck to have close to 380 rwhp with those mods, 350 sounds like stock #s.
Just sounds like he is losing power somewhere (besides those rediculous rims)

^+1. One off my trucks is the same as a lightning drivtran, and im at 455whp. Probably alittle more modded thou...still a good race for a stage 2 sti vs slightly moded lightning.
fyi, On a stock (i think) STI, starting out from behind at a light, my truck with no traction issues (hot day) fell behind by 1/2 car (he punched it first obviously-hes in front..), by 80mph i was 2 cars in front. Almost identical outcome against a SS camaro with afew minor mods (although im sure he has more now)-3 cars and started out behind at a light.
My wrx seems about even with my hdF150 , and would kill my '04e.b.expedition (my other truck)

#1 the rims are the ****. #2 I believe he is leaning more towards a show truck #3 hes going to wyo tech this semester and I beleive hes puttin an airbag suspension on it while at school. When I am with him in the winter with his stock rims, it feels the same performance. The rims actually give him great traction off the line.

They slow him down, that is what they do. They are too big and too heavy, too much mass to be pushing, it's physics. He can do whatever he wants, but if he is racing the thing 23" rims are not the best option.

Yeah, the 4door comes in at about 120lbs more than the coupe. Stock GSR whether it be coupe or 4door will trap about 91/92mph stock if driven well enough to pull off a mid to lower 15sec e.t. (which isn't really hard).

I dont really think he cares too much about them slowing him down slightly just because the truck looks so pimp and its priceless to see the look on peoples face when you walk them in a truck with 23 in chrome rimes, and trust me if you saw the truck you would want him to keep them on too.
