    S55 Amg

    Woot, I got to line up against one at a red light yesterday. As we pulled up to the light he asks "Are you pretty heavily modded?" And I said "Yeah, pretty well but you'll still smoke me." So I give a rev, and he stares ahead at the red light waiting for it to turn.

    I hit a great launch and pulled a car on the launch, but after that all I saw were tail lights. He pulled a car ahead after 2nd gear, and by the top of third he had 3 cars on me, so I quit at about 80 mph. I thought I'd do a lot worse and pulled next to him after the race.


    "great little race" I said and he says "not bad!" I said I would be faster if it wasn't an auto and he said he understood because his was an auto.

    I thought the only way you could get those cars was auto. Oh well, it was great fun.

    Nice, that must have been fun. I thought those only came in auto too, I know AMGs only come in auto, was that an AMG?

    What do they run stock?

    I ran one at the drag strip. His best was 13.0... mine was 12.8

    yeah, he wasn't all that much faster than I was. Like I said he only pulled 3 cars on me. I bet if I had a stick with my mods (I'd have more power) he would've been PWNED

    I don't understand what you're saying here. He said his was an auto, and then you're now saying that you thought the only way you could get them was auto?

    I'm going to guess the reason his is an auto is because they only come that way.

    Am I missing something?

    ok hold on i gotta put to rest some myths here. I come from a very mercedes bends orented family *its all they own* most amg's come manual you have to opt to get an auto on an sl55amg and teh sl600 is way faster too and you take an sl600 and give it renntech mods and theyll put out 800 hp easy but anyways the amgs are pretty freeking sweet. look at it this way you dident spend 90k for your car

    There is no option for manual trannys, all AT.
