You'll kill him if all he has is a MBC.

    ive raced a gst w/ a 16g turbo"atleast thats what he said"

He was even w/ me if not pulling a little on me from a roll 10-80, but from a dig it was horrendous 5 carlengths, but not sure if he knew how to drive his car that well.

Im curious to whether this sounds right, b/c i thought a 16g'd gst would be more of a race than this or does he not know whats under his hood. He bought the car w/ all the mods on it and tried to tell me it was 20k plus under the hood

I dont think you should have too much of a problem with a 99 running nothing but a manual boost controler. With just the mbc he would probably be a better race for a stage 1 than stage 2. I raced a 96 or 97 Talon TSi (FWD version) with a boost-controller, full exhaust and a cai (when I was still stage 2), from a stop it was not pretty for him, and even from a roll I would still slowly pull away from him, gaining like 1 1/2-2 cars or so from 55 to 95ish. We raced a number of times with the same results every time.

LOL just hope it's a gst.

There used to be a local "gst" that'd cut consistant 1.5's on street tires.

lol, yea right a "gst".... if he was pulling 1.5's on any tires he was deffinatly running a little more than just a boost conroller too though...lol

yea I know, thats why I wrote it like that lol. I met these kids one night who had just taken the '-'T off so it just said GS on their eclipse. We found these 2 kids in a Stratus R/T who thought they were super fast. The whole night they never caught on (even though we could hear the turbo whistling from the side of the road), the entire time the kid was just freaking out that his V6 R/T was getting smoked by a GS eclipse...lol.

You should. From a stop your going to make him look REALLY bad if you can launch well at all, dont be surprised with 5-6 cars, especially if hes a so-so good driver. You'll probably pull at least 2-3 cars on him from a roll too.

MBC on stock exhaust? Doesn't sound like a good idea.
