STI vs Trans AM ram air..outcome ??

What would the outcome be between a 6 speed stock ram air (2001-2002) against a stock STI....

both from a roll and from a dig...

i was hoping in the 1/8th or 1/4 mile , the STI could at least give a good run and maybe even edge it out stock vs stock.

one of the guys here is a big gear head and gives me crap about Subaru's.

I would think that from a dig, a stock STI vs. a stock LS1 would equal a driver's race. You should take the lead off the line, he'll be playing catch up and trap quite a bit faster than you.

ya i agree. The LS1's are a very sweet motor but they are a low 13 with the 6spd just like an STi. To me it's a drivers race from a dig. From a roll you'll get taken. If he's a great driver he could pull a high 12, of course that's hard to do stock. Go to the track and give them a run.

stock for stock, STi will demolish the TA in the 1/8th. heck, the STi beats the Z06 in the 8th.

for the 1/4, its purely a drivers race. if both drivers drive perfectly, the ET will be the same, with the TA having a higher trap.

funny story- went to the track with my friend who has a modded TA. i had: header/tbe/intake/boost controller set to17psi/no EM. he had: long tube headers/cut out/cam/ls2 lid/no em. he beat me by a car in the 1/4 (it was at RSD night, no times) but was pulling hard on me...but on the ride home on the expressway, i pulled on him hard from ~60-120. i think it had to do with the hot intercooler at the track.
